Simplicity 3701 progress

Hello lovely people.
Things have been all over the place for me this past month. I've been hanging out with a new friend and getting to know her and drinking lots of mimosas (long story), I've been doing a lot more drawing and finishing up Vintageville stuff (I added a new completed drawing to my FB page), I've been writing a lot, doing some freelance, and generally detaching.

Catalog Sunday

This Sunday I have casuals from Montgomery Wards, 1941.

It's been a boring week.

Hi everyone. I hope your week has been one filled with adventure, fun, and perhaps some good chocolate. Me? Eh.

Homemaking: Be your own Interior Decorator

Hello one and all!

Brian showing off the gift he got. A new dog tag!

I'm contemplating what I'm going to be sewing next. I'm pondering a garter belt and under garments, or blouses which I'm severely lacking, or doing another plain pattern project. In the interim, I'm always homemaking.

Vintage Homemaking: How to be well-dressed on a smaller clothing budget

I'm feeling homemakie.
One reason I'm feeling this way is because of Viva. Some of the weekender is still haunting me. Mainly, the dressing up. I really like dressing in my clothes but being home and freelancing a lot tends to keep me in my PJs.

Good morning!

You all know how I love my Fire-King tulip set. I thought it would be nice to compile a catalog of Fire-King websites to gather info and see the different types of Fire-King that are out there.

*aw, firekingmugs appears to be offline* This site had a wealth of info about dating and history. If anyone knows what happened to it, please share!

Enjoy!!

Catalog Sunday, this Sunday

Today I have great style from Lane Bryant, 1929.

Catalog Sunday, last Sunday

Last Sunday I have, er, had some lovely Marian Martin scans from their catalog dating 1945.

Viva! pt 2: The blur of concerts, booze and dancing

Day two, three four, possibly five of Viva. They were all a blur, and I was busy having fun, so I only remembered to grab a picture when I could.
One of the opening concerts in the main ballroom.
