The skirts are just the right fullness, and there's exactly the right amount of interest in the sleeves & detail in the bodice. Just as in Hollywood movies, I have always thought that 1939 was the high point in twentieth century fashion (maybe 21st century fashion, too.)<br /><br />For my personal taste (sounding like Goldie locks here) the forties became too broad-shouldered & the hairstyles too extreme.
