March Pattern Showcase!

This past month (and last month for that matter) has seen a ginormous spike in pattern prices, especially pattern lots. Granted, there have been a few choice lots out there, but I saw a rather lame 50s lot go for $250+. Whatever.

Now that warmer wether is here, I'm really getting interested in doing some light cotton Dust Bowl dresses. I figure the depression styling will match my depression not full time having jobness.

I love patterns no one else is interested in. Simplicity actually re-issued this one, but I found an original for 99¢ I really like the styling and I can't *wait* to tackle those on seam pockets, *swoon*.

As most of you all know, I LOVE dresses with yokes. Why? Mmmmm two-tone!
So Make & Mend, so fun!

As far as what I'm going to be doing this month, if I want to limit it to a month, I haven't decided. I think I'll start the draping the week of the 10th. Maybe do a dress and a blouse with some kind of cool design. I'm really excited about starting some dustbowl designs. Light summery frocks in a mazing patterns seems like a great thing to work on now.
I got time, it's not like I'm working or anything! HA!

  1. Beautiful patterns. I especially like McCalls 6609. Both views are beautiful. That big beautiful bow would be nice in a drapy fabric

  2. They're all delights, but I really enjoy that 20s one, surprisingly.
