Thanks especially for the "maybe you are 40" page - I'm 50, and love 1940's styles - but I do wonder, sometimes, what would be age-appropriate - models seemed to be quite young then too! Oh, and the "beanpole" skirt - I'd wondered how long that had been around. I have a couple "broomstick" skirts done the same way and love them.
I'm 62 and I'd wear any of these. Maybe I wouldn't wear the shorts out in public, but definitely in my own garden or at the beach. One of the things I like best about these old fashions is the names. The first dress is named 'gaiety'. It's been quite a long time since I've heard that word or used it in a sentence. Oh, and Shelly, I really appreciate your catalog Sundays. So if I haven't said it before, thank you.
