Day Project: Linen Chrysanthemums

Well, not a whole day. Well, perhaps if you include the prep of the fabric.

I'd wanted to make this flower (flower G) from my repro pattern for a while. I thought a cluster of mums would be a great brooch for the two-tone dress I just made.

I painted some tan linen a deep maroon with the glue solution I used for the roses.

The pattern for the mums is fairly simple, just two of the circle pieces cut and folder over on themselves. They came together rather quickly and I do like the end result.

I even got to get out my glue gun when I added the leaves.

Once I put a pin clasp on the bottom of this puppy, she will be ready for wear.
