Oh no! She'll have to learn fast! I like this old lady character.P.S. - I have trouble following the multiple back-and-forth dialogue bubbles (I'm sure that has a much more concise name), like in panel 3. I don't know why as I feel like it should be straightforward. Maybe because I don't read graphic novels too often? Just a thought.
Tis par for the course of the comic world. When I read comics, I have problems following them sometimes, too. Often I have to do a double read. A good rule of thumb is start with the highest bubble first in the panel (no matter if its to the left or right and zip-zag down following dialogue lines. Each bubble is a brake in the conversation for the other character to respond. For this particular panel, I kind of meant it to be confusing. Lady is pretty caught off guard. She had no idea what is going on :)
omg you really know how to keep me on the edge of my seat! can't wait for the next one. also, personally i like the way you did the dialogue, it really felt like she was getting 'bowled over' by the lady in the shop! i'm both excited for and nervous for Ladie.
