Your dress is stunning and you sport it so well. All that hard work clearly paid off! By the way, there was a dress with a very similar idea in the new Hercule Poirot over on the PBS Mystery website (which you can watch for free). A young woman wears it on the Orient Express.

That dress is very becoming, and I particularly like the asymmetrical line of the flowers. I don't wish to diminish from the fabulous-ness of the dress...but I MUST know more about those shoes! Holy awesome!

That is positively breathtaking. An amazing, amazing job, from conception to completion.

Thanks everybody! Im very pleased with the end result. I feel so diva in it too!

Arya- The shoes I got a couple of years a go. Payless had some 40s inspired boots and these were on sale for $10. The heel is a bit too high (3 1/2") and if it were not for that, these would look like they walked straight from the 40s.

You do look ready to take the stage in that beautiful dress! It can't be a coincidence that you posted it on Billie Holiday's memorial day!

I love the dress, the flower detail totally 'makes it'. It must have taken you forever to sew them all, but it looks amazing, well done!

Hello I just found you on etsy and I am so inspired! I found my way to this post and I have to say you are absolutely rocking that dress. It's inspiring me to get my sewing machine fixed so I can get to work sizing up some patterns myself.
