My 2015 year end assessment as mostly told through pictures of Brian.

Hello lovely people.

This year has been a real hard one, as I'm sure so many people have had. A lot of struggle and hopelessness and so many "what ifs" going on in my brain.

As I take stock of it, I realize the best thing I did was move. Honestly. I knew it was holding me back, but I truly didn't know how much.

I moved into that lovely place and I never felt like I belonged. I always felt like a poser. Why I felt this way is probably some deep rooted socio-economic/racial thing, but let's not get into that. I did a lot of stuff and put up with a lot of stuff so I would not be the "bad tenant" but after I moved out I realized that what I did didn't matter. I still will have to fight for my security deposit.

I moved in with a friend in her back house and it has a yard and Brian is doing well. My friend called me her "roommate" and that honestly makes me happy. She has other renters and they are just "renters" so I feel a tad special.

Now I get to focus on finding work, which I did, which is one of the reasons I haven't been posting much. I have a 9-5 doing After Effects animation for a company. I'm hoping it will last a few months, but so far, so good. I've been there for 3 weeks and they like my work. The funny thing is, the job is in Hollywood! HAHAHA! My commute is nothing to laugh at. But hey, for a few months, I'm willing to put up with it.

I am also going to use the new time in the new year to get back to Vintageville and I have some plans for my pattern line, so stay turned for that. There are also some plans for other projects (that pay) and I'll tell you about those when they come to fruition.

Right now I just want to think. My 38th birthday was on the 13th and I have a few things that I want to really pursue that I've never done in life before. I feel like I'm in a comfortable place and I'm ready, you know.

So keep cheering me on and supporting me, and I'll keep sewing and drawing. Because that's what I was put here to do.

You all have a great new year and Brian and I will be back fresh and ready to go in 2016!

So funny you had to leave where you were to go back to animation.
You're still drawing and working and it's better to live with other people. And I am sure Brian is thankful for the yard. And you.
More better make good stuff in 2016!
