I don't know what it is with these past few weeks. Perhaps it was the completion of my vintage rayon blouse, but I have been thinking of nothing but blouses.
Ever done that? Made something over and over again because the fit is just great?
I guess the passion of it is finally having a good fitting pattern. I can now just crank them out. Also, I've been using up my great vintage rayon. Mmmmm!
Like right now, I'm in the middle of completing another 40s blouse using the palm tree rayon.
I don't have enough for the entire blouse, but I had some yellow rayon leftover from another failed blouse. I'm using that for the back, sleeves and yoke.
I just completed the facing and collar, and I'm most likely going to add the sleeves later today.
(Pay no attention to the back of the left side. It needs to be ironed.)
This one I might wear to the Air Raid.
The other one is a second attempt at my 30s tunic blouse.
I'm using the remaining cotton/rayon fabric from my 30s dress that I posted yesterdee. On this one I'm making the sleeves from the pattern. This time I adjusted the placement of the collar and its great. I also decided to do the kerchief in linen. I love the look.
The sleeves for this one will be the same as in the pattern I just have to attach them.
Then once both pieces are complete, I got another one in the pipeline.
I'm going to make a tie neck version of my 40s blouse with the gray flower rayon.
I have enough of it to make two front pieces.
