I love your catalog posts. I always feel you get a sense of real life, these were things and clothes that people really did buy and wear. Fashion magazines of the era, while lovely, show what only a tiny percentage of folks could wear. That's true for then and now. But these catalog items were owned by the average gal, just like today the clothes found at Target (for instance) are what the average gal wears now.
