More awesome Playclothes repairs!

Hello everyone!
It has been a crazy few weeks for me. I have a cough (congested throat that may be a sinus infection) that I've had flair up for over a week. I hope it will go away in a bit.

I've been really lethargic this month. Not because of my throat, but mostly because of motivation. I just haven't found it. I'm forcing myself to get motivated but as you all know, that can be a challenge.

One thing I felt I had to knock out was the clutter on my kitchen table. My apartment has been a bit raggedy lately as you can see from the image above.

In cleaning off my table I found some stamps I forgot I had. Now I need to get a frame for them.

I'm still sewing for Playclothes and had some very cute samples to repair and mend. The above 30s silk dress needed a placket. I made a period correct bias tape snap fastener placed for the dress.

The blouse above is a rayon sequin top with a side bow. I had to mend some of the sequin with a pouch of vintage sequin.

The next two are skirt details that I plan on using in the future. The above is a 70s skirt with a super cute double pleat. The below is an amazing 40s skirt with a running pocket treatment across the front. I am totally going to make a skirt like this.

The last one was a cut two piece dress that I think was later altered. It had one sleeve that had ripped off its cute black cuff (as pictured), so I had to remove the remaining cuff to make it match.

The beauty of the top is the cute huge bow that I tacked back into place. I love that.

One last thing I got from Playclothes was this 5 yards of lightly waxed cotton. It's spectacular. I can't wait to sew with it.

Whew. That's about it. Did some laundry. Washed my dresses.
Saw my dream car, an 80s BMW.

And took this silly selfie.
Have a great day!

Looking good, Shelley! Love the vintage clothes and how mindful you are of period details when you repair them. The fabric is to die for! all the best!

Just curious, what do you plan to make with that gorgeous fabric?

I love, love, love the bit of yellow frill on the first dress, the kind of detail that turns pretty into smashing. I've got to save this one and figure out how to draft it. Thanks so much.

Ooh, the BMW 2002! I know I won't have another car, but if I did, it would be that one. Thank you so much for the peek into Playclothes (and a post to know you're still at it! Go girl, go!)
