Another week and more patterns!
I've just put some really great patterns in my store, all dating from the mid to late 60s. And the kicker, all 40 bust and over. Oh yeah!
I've also come into three 1960s dresses that I will be listing this week from the same era. All cocktail dresses with various details, and all 33 to 36 bust. Although this is not my era of focus, I totally see the appeal, especially with the success of the show Mad Men. The clean lines, the slopped shoulders, femininity is still present in everyday wear. I get it, man.
Onto other news.
How is Make & Mend month going for everyone!?
I'm trying to decide what I'm going to make next. I'm still working on the cloche I mocked up, but I have this crazy loud fabric and because it has lycra in it (yuck) I dont want to use it for anything other than a house dress.
Im debating whether I'm going to make something with it, or should I go on and work on my yellow sport dress. I just finished the Gardenia Dress (yay), so Im not too sure I want to jump into another big project so soon.
Ooh I wouldn't want to be so bold as to tell you what to do next, but I just have to say that those fabrics are bea-u-ti-ful!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous fabric! I wish anything in my stash looked so nice. I vote the housedress, but I'm being a bit selfish because I own that pattern and want to see it made up! :D
ReplyDeleteIt is my opinion that you do something crazy fun for yourself. Love both fabrics.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I have to do some easy fun things after doing a major, huge, serious outfit.
