It turned out pretty well. I like the buttons and the accessories keep the dress from looking like a maid's uniform.
When I was taking the photos, I couldn't help but think of this photograph. My great Grandmother is the one in the light colored dress.
A few more pictures of the linen dress are on NVL.
You're adorable in that outfit.

ReplyDeleteI love it! And it gives you such a lovely shape. You should certainly strut your stuff. Also, amazing cloche.
ReplyDeleteWow. You are amazing!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone!
ReplyDeleteOnce I got my act together the dress came together fairly quickly. Its a bit large on the sides, I added a bit too much ease, but the belt helps that a lot.
Simple and elegant. I especially like the hat. Did you make that as well?
ReplyDeleteYou look lovely. The hat really completes the outfit.
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get the cool shoes?
ReplyDeleteYou look smashing!
ReplyDeleteYou look so gorgeous! I love the contrast collar and sleeve cuffs--so smart (as they would say in the 30s ;).
