Well I finished the hat from my earlier announcements of my Queen Mary wardrobe. I had blocked off the whole afternoon to do it, but it took under an hour (sewing only). The brim I used part of my beret to get the size right, then altered it to what I liked. I ended up making a whole pattern. I trimed the brim in wire so I could shape it.
I was going to line the hat, even shape the crown with buckram, but it didn't need it.
I also planned on attaching the yellow roses to the hat, but I like the simplicity of the hat on its own. Ill do it like they did in the 30s and tilt up the brim and wear the flowers beneath it.
This is gonna look so cute with my dress.

Very cute indeed! I love the idea of having the flowers in your hair instead of on the hat. I'm loving it!
