My new chair is cool!

Happy Thursday everyone.

It's been a rather interesting week for me. I left work early on Monday and was out sick Tuesday and Wednesday. Actually I went to a clinic to get my throat congestion checked out because as I said earlier last year, it's not allergies. They are doing a thyroid test and they want me to see an ear/nose/throat specialist. My throat is a bit swollen, and its not just the cold exasperating it.

So as soon as I save up $400 (that includes an exam, probe, and biopsy if anything is found), I'll go to the clinic recommended ENT.

Right now I'm on antibiotics for the cold, which I have to say are making me feel better. I had a pretty good sleep last night, so yay! I'm working from home today and if I feel good, I'm back at work tomorrow. I actually miss work. I like where I'm employed :)

As for what I did when I was sick, not much. I really do believe sleep is the best medicine. Rest, rest, rest. All those movies and grandmas had it right.

I pretty much slept the last few days away, but that weekend, I did get some stuff around the new pad done. 

My plant, Fancy finally emerged from a tangle on the floor to a lovely cover over the window. 

About 15'. That's a lot of plant.

Not too much direct sunlight, but super bright shade which I'm sure will make him flower again.

My sewing area is about 80% complete. I'm going to make some canvas covers for the shelves as soon as time allows.

Also I finished a sewing project for someone else, which I had been needing to do for a while. I'm glad I completed it. Now I can go onto another one, and perhaps cram in some sewing for myself!

But On Monday my new desk chair finally came! I felt new place, new chair and my lame IKEA chair was on its last legs (ha,ha). So I got one with some padding for my big old ass! 

It's very sturdy, but as one of the reviews on Amazon said about this bar stool, it leans a bit forward. It's not a detriment, it's just want it does, so I'll have to get used to it. I'm sitting in it now, so I guess I am used to it!

I like the look of it with the look of my place. Whew, everything is finally coming together.
