Good morning and wonderful Wednesday, everyone!
As you can see, my sewing area is coming along. I plan to get back to making clothes this weekend. I have a skirt pattern I want to knock out. All my skirts (and blouses ) are getting too big, and I need some quick fillers. Seeing as I have nothing planned for this weekend (yet), I think that's the best time to get started!
I am also going to get the Air Raid pictures up soon. It's been a busy week. Fun, but busy.
|I finally sorted by button collection.|
The big box is gone!
As you all wait for Air Raid photos (and video!), I do have images of my find at the Long Beach Flea Market that Sunday. I went with a couple of friends, and even ran into some of my buddies from the Air Raid. That flea market is kind of out hidden treasure here among the vintage folk. Apparently, its not a secret anymore. TONS of people were there and I ran into a lot of regulars who said this was the most crowded they had ever seen it. Myself included.
Yet through the crowds, I did spot this.
I've never seen original pattern art before and I nearly passed it up. It's so amazing and I got it for $50, which I talked the guy down from $65. I'm planning on having it (and a few other things) framed in the the coming weeks.
|I'd say its about '45-'47.|
If you have this pattern, or have seen this drawing in print (I don't know the pattern company), please let me know!
Last but not least, my free chair. As you all know, I love a bargain, and this one was a leftover from the previous office that is where my company is now. A nice (though the back leans a bit more than I like) chair for my sewing nook. Yay.
Alright everyone! I'm at work and I have two dance classes today. Yay!
Have a great day!!
