I come home yesterday to find this waiting at my door!
Yay goodies!! And yay Amazon Prime!
I have three major purchases to make: a new desk chair, a Reliable ironing board, and an air purifier. Once I put the chair together (that odd shaped box at the bottom), I'll show ya. It's super cute.
Thought this collection of stuff was not my slippers, they came this morning. Yay Zappos!
They have a very high cork sole, about 1 1/5th inch. I was a bit leery about the heel, as I tend to like a shoe that goes completely over the heel, but this fits pretty good. They are not as 'vintage' as the ones I was looking at, but they are very folksy, which is pretty cool.
I like them, and they feel very warm and comfy on my cold feet. I'm home today with a pretty bad cough. It's getting better, and I've been drinking a lot of ginger tea and wearing a warm hat.

Those are super cute! I'm thinking I may need a warm pair of maryjanes that I can wear with jeans and skirts..it's been cold lately! Nice find! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you are loving your Haflingers -- I feel very vested in your podiatric comfort now! The ones you bought are adorable, but they are H. shoes, not slippers. They make both, which I should have pointed out. The slippers look like this: http://www.zappos.com/haflinger-slippers. I have the ones that have the sheep on them. The sole is soft, but there is an arch support in there. And they wear like iron: mine are at least 4 years old now and you can't tell. I've washed them (on cold, gentle, no spin, air dry) about 5 times too.

Zappos had theses listed as slippers! I saw the ones you are talking about and I wanted a shoe that fits more over my heel, like these do.
