I've been shopping. Oh, how I've been shopping.
My house warming is coming up at the end of the month, so I've been getting some of the smaller things a home needs to make it just right.
An Etsy purchase. |
Here it is on the wall in my kitchen. |
I've also been putting some of my vintage items in my cabinets.
I need to adjust some things, but I like the look.
By the way, this is the light fixture in my kitchen. |
I go this late 60s starburst clock too. I wanted something in the hall. I'm planning on changing the clock gears. It's a fairly new one in there now, and it's pretty loud.
The following items are on their way to me.
I hope to get most of them by the end of the week.

These tumblers are gonna look great in my kitchen cabinet! |
Got a vintage fan (that works) so I can cool off without the AC. |
And here is the other big purchase. I found another Royalchrome couch and it's on it's way to me! I got this second love seat for about the price I paid for my other couch. I'm excited about it. Now it will be like I have a late 40s sectional in my living room! I'm going to order new cushions and cover them myself. Yay, fabric selection!!!
This is going to be so much fun! I can't wait to pick out fabric for my couches.
Don't you just love homemaking!?
Love those couches. Yes , I love homemaking, I have renovating my ensuite - it's only semi vintage as we are hoping to sell soon. Mind you it's hard work, and my back is still complaining!
ReplyDeleteYour new apartment is just so great! And so . . YOU! Love all the new stuff. And the new couch--how cool is that? Virtually toasting you and your new home--may you have a long and joyful sojourn there.
ReplyDeleteGreat decor! I really like the button shadow box you have. I want to make something like that for my half of the hobby room.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I'm so happy to see you found a mate for your sofa! Having just moved very recently I'm enjoying 'homemaking' right now, too.
ReplyDeleteYour cat is so beautiful! Have a lovely housewarming!
ReplyDeleteThank you all so much!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Shelly, just wondering where you bought your kitchen light. I love it! If it is available can you tell me the dimensions?
ReplyDeleteThe kitchen light is an original fixture. Its most likely from the 30s.
