Good Tuesday one and all.
It's October and fall us among us. Though the weather is getting cooler, even for California, all I have been thinking of lately is Las Vegas. What? Yeah, Las Vegas. I've had my room booked for months now, and it will be my first time at Viva Las Vegas next year.
I've got a lot of outfits planned, but I decided to get started on some of the smaller things and one of them thus far fits into my MnM schedule.
Here is the bag. It's a beach bag, and ideal kitsch to hold some of your belongings while catching some rays. These are hugely popular in the 1950's and 60s. They are hard to find too, but I got this purse online for $35 just two months ago.
I want to use this bag as my major bag for Viva.
The top of the cushion was just wide enough to fit the bag. I had to add a few inches by using the sides of the cushion fabric and stitching it to the top.
Then folding it in with it's center in the middle, I added the zipper and lining, the same red fabric I used for the pillows.
I then tucked in the sides of the bag to the zipper and stitched it closed.
After that I opened the bag and puffed out the folded in sides.
Presto!
Oh crafts! I love you!
That purse is great! I love wicker bags but they can be pricey. You did a great job with the lining too.
