Happy May, everyone! It's time for another showcase of my gets this past month.
The above 30s blouse and jumper set is awesome.
This one dates 1943. |
I like the above one mainly for the illustration of the woman with the nurse bag on her arm. It's so WWII. I'll be keeping this one.
I also finally got a shadow box for some of my blackface collection. The lower right are my newest acquisition, luncheon place cards.
I also picked up a few books.
This book I got as a loaner from a friend but found this copy on eBay for $15.
Oh, how I love shopping. The Santa Monica vintage Expo is this weekend, so who knows, I may find some treasures there. I hope I do!
How have your pattern collections evolved?
Have a great day!!
Glad you snagged 3059...I saw it and immediately thought of you. It's such a fabulous dress!
ReplyDeleteThose are lovely---I was admiring the something very like the 9054 pattern on the Vintage Pattern Wiki just the other day. :) The books look really neat, too! :)
ReplyDeleteMy local thrift store (which has a large, if not exactly "quality" sewing section) has recently lowered their pattern price from $1 to 49 cents... it is very hard not to come home with a crapload of mediocre patterns every time I go.
Oh, Ive had to abstain from crappy patterns. There are so many of them, even vintage ones.
ReplyDeleteIm on a laser beam focus for patterns as of late. So far it's been good to me.
