Hi everyone. Again, thanks for all the words and emails on my personal posts this past week. I'm glad you all are there to help a gal out from time to time :)
I want to say thanks by offering up a giveaway!
I'm going to offer up this button front pattern again. It was unclaimed a few months ago, and I think it's perfect for the PPP if you haven't picked a pattern yet.
This princess seamed patten is unprinted and in its factory folds. It's a 40 bust and from the early 1940s.
To enter you don't have to follow my blog, but that would make me feel all special :)
Just add a comment to this post and I'll select a winner and announce it on Wed. Sept. 21st.
To close out the post I thought I'd put up some catalog pics. 1920s Lane Bryant.
Enjoy and have a great weekend!
That is a very cute dress. If your giveaway is open internationnaly, I would love to enter.
ReplyDeleteAnd you should feel special because you are :) And just in case you still don't, know that I'm following your blog in Google Reader and find it very interesting.
hi Shelly, I think that pattern would just fit me, and it is so cute.
ReplyDeletethank you for hosting a giveaway.
Very pretty pattern. :) And I love the catalogue pics...
ReplyDeleteI would love to enter the giveaway, and would follow if it let me do it without starting a blog ^_^ annalaura.sloan (at) gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI remember the last giveaway -- that dress is so adorably perfect! And I do follow you in Reader, although not in google connect (because I don't use it). Also, glad you got a new doctor and hope you are feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy looking at the catalog pictures you post and the fashions you make. You have encouraged me to try and alter a pattern larger to fit my measurements.
ReplyDeleteI love that pattern! I read you eveyday, and I've learned so much about making my own clothing.
ReplyDeletePlease do enter me as that pattern is soo lovely! I really need to start sewing again. Your blog is so inspiring as I am a bigger girl, and it is nice to see that we can wear vintage inspired clothes too!
ReplyDeletelove this!! thanks for the giveaway - i love it when you post LB scans!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your blog - there seen't many women like me in in my neck of the woods who like vintage & vintage-inspired fashion. The dress pattern is pretty & sweet!
ReplyDeleteYou definitely are special. I don't read many blogs anymore, but yours is on the short list of blogs I check almost every day. I love the things you do and your style.
ReplyDeleteAnd catalogue Sunday makes my day.
I also love that pattern, I need a princess seams 40s pattern to have as a starting point for many, many dresses.
I like all the ideas you share on catalog Sunday and I'm hoping I'll have time to do the Plain Pattern sew along. Great giveaway (and I am a follower).
ReplyDeleteI would love to win this! It is so difficult to find larger sized vintage patterns...
ReplyDeleteHi, I too follow your blog and always eagerly check out you latest posts. I especially love you catalog sunday posts, particularly the 20s and 30s ones. You have a beautiful collection of patterns and catalogs, I'm quite envious =)
ReplyDeleteThis pattern is absolutely perfect for my mum.
regards,
M.
throwing my hat in the ring!
ReplyDeletemaybe a little dress would be the motivation to finish my bra...
I actually do follow your blog, and have enjoyed reading about your amazing ability to work with a variety of materials and make such lovely things. I think that the dress pattern you're giving away would look fabulous on me made up, and would inspire me to stick my toe into vintage sewing. Not something that I've yet been courageous enough to do.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy your blog, and look forward to more!
What a cute dress! I've recently started following you on Google Reader & am really enjoying all of the catalog scans. :)
