THis week I've been sewing. Winter is coming, but in Los Angeles, it's about 70 degrees. Sigh. Still, I'm making progress on my jacket wardrobe and I thought I'd show you the progresses.

Boy have I ben MIA lately. It's not for lack of projects, I've just been sewing for other people, repairs and what not. Tons upon tons of mending and repairs Nothing fun, just paying bills. That's the main reason I haven't been able to sew much for myself lately. Sans my tailored jacket, I haven't made much this last month.

Whew! This has been a very stressful week. Quite a few of my friends were laid off, I was scrambling for payment from some freelance jobs. Aunt Flow visited. Rent was due. A crazy time.

Good morning lovely people.
Oh the coat, oh the coat! So much to show and explain and still simple and classic. All I can say is that I'm glad the coat was not fitted in any way. Despite my efforts in proper fit, I felt I did give a bit in my quality control because it was a 'costume' garment. I mean, I get it. Not everything needs to be at real person wearable quality, but I have standards, dammit, and I'm gonna keep them as hight as I can.

This past weekend was a busy one as far as sewing. I got a rush job from the company I do sewing for, for a wool coat for a Wolfman statue. Cool! You all know how much I like a challenge. I do. Nothing makes me try harder than a difficult project and a deadline, but this project was a doozie.
Projects come together.

Hope you had a lovely weekend. Mine started with a long walk to the pet wash so Brian could get nice and clean with his medicated shampoo. He was stellar by the way.

I've been sewing for a few years now. I think roughly 6. I remember really getting into sewing shortly after my mother's death, and thinking I could do it all. Of course, I knew nothing about grading, fit, fabric choices, etc. All I knew was that I was sewing and that was good enough, right?

Hope you all had a nice weekend. I staied at home and actually worked on sewing! I got the second pack of royal chrome furniture and stowed those in my storage locker, and I got the cool boxes I ordered from House designs earlier in the week.
