Small projects I decided to finish...finally.

Hello lovely people.

I'm sorry for my sparse posting these last couple of months. If I'm not trolling the tubal interwebs looking for jobs, I'm trolling netflix watching movies. Oh Netflix, you will be the death of me.

I really have not felt like getting involved in a big sewing project. I've just wanted to simmer, do some small things, look over what I've done and see if there are any holes in my wardrobe. Turns out there are a whole lot of holes in my wardrobe.

Quilt Progress

I thought you all might be interested in where I am on the quilt.

I'm starting on the squares for the 8th block. Once I finish these nine, I'll have nearly 25% of the quilt complete. Yay!

It's amazing to see the progress like this. It's so large now that I can't lay it all out on my sewing table anymore! Squeeee!!!

Some progress

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't been posting much these last couple of weeks. I've got two dress commissions, a side project for some friends, getting holiday things together and just coming home in the cold weather and wanting a hot cup of java and a warm blanket...

Zzzzzzzzzzzz

Cold weather does that to me every time. I just love snuggling beneath the blankets with my cat nestled on my feet and a warm cap on my head and I'm a happy gal.

Other than that I have been working on things.

Happy Tuesday one and all. Yesterday I go into work and they have a real Christmas tree going up in the corner of the office. The smell was lovely. I guess the office will decorate it soon. I also had my first candy cane of the season. Oh yes, the Holidays are here.

What I did all day yesterday.

I hope you all are recovering from food coma, dysfunctional family, and too much wine. It's all about the wine. Me? I had a quiet time at home, forgoing friends because I just wanted to be alone. I do love being at home and I'm not tired of it. All my stuff is here, all my sewing is here and I have projects to do, damnit.

Good morning everyone. 

Hope you all had a nice weekend. I staied at home and actually worked on sewing! I got the second pack of royal chrome furniture and stowed those in my storage locker, and I got the cool boxes I ordered from House designs earlier in the week.

MnM Progress

Hi all!
This past week had me in a tizzy. I got sick, and it just took over. I was even out from work for 4 days. I thought, that's it, I'm going to the doctor, for real.

I've just started an insurance plan, so I was relieved to establish a primary care phisician. She was nice and stayed with me for a time to get to the root of my problem. She concluded I was healthy and that with all other evidence, this pointed to a sinus infection.

My left ear is apparently clogged, so not enough air equals goo forming and me getting sick. Well dang blasted! She's put me on a regimen and the cough syrup she prescribed is making me high :) but I think I'm on the road to permanent recovery, for good this time. SO GLAD.

Details make all the difference.

I do like these very much.

They do help to brake up the space very well and I'm glad that I did both shirring and the pin-tucking for them. I love the contrast of the textures and I've already received compliments on them!

Day Project: Quilted potholders for my Granny!

What a lovely afternoon it is!

I'm at home right now, sewing since 8:30. 

You see, about 6 years ago, I made quilted potholders one Christmas for family and friends. I was talking to my Granny a few weeks ago and she asked if I could make her another one.

"You are still using it!?" I said in disbelief.

"I use it nearly everyday."

Now, I can't tell you how awesome that made me feel, "Of course I'll make you another one!"
