This beret I made from wool I dyed myself a few weeks ago.
The pattern is my 30s hat repro pattern. I highly recommend it. It went together wonderfully, though next time I'll use a fabric that isn't so thick.
The pattern is 3 pieces, the crown, the side and the inner lining. I then, as instructions said, lined the opening with grosgrain. I bought some vintage grosgrain made of a cotton/nylon at a flea market a few months ago. It went perfect.

A very close stitch at the top of the grosgrain's edge. |
The raspberries and blackberries are vintage millinery fruit. I think that was the greatest touch!
And now for my narcissistic pleasure, more photos!
Oddly, I think this photo is the most 30s looking :) |
