Hello lovely people.
Yes, that is Brian in the middle of three dogs larger than him.
Brian was all, "sup."
They were all, "sup."
"Can I sniff your butt?"
"Cool, bro."
These last couple of weeks have been nothing but work. On small projects, on big ones, but mainly meeting the deadline for my job. The production took this week off, so I was able to take care of some smaller jobs and pick up some things that I've always wanted.
First I finally got a set of vintage dominos. I have wanted one for a while.
They were the big treat for myself. I made them a new home a box covered in vintage fabric. They like it there.
I made a major achievement by finally organizing all of my button collection. I took two hours, two extra plastic shoe boxes from the dollar store, and 50 snack size plastic bags and got it done. It feels so good.
I also found another man smoking on button cards. This brings my total to 23.
That button card came in an interesting wood frame so I washed it and framed my Granny's picture :)
And I found a new button card for my patriotic shadow box.
Another task I did was take 4 pairs of vintage shoes into the cobbler. I can't wait to see if this pair can be saved.
And lastly I was able to treat myself so a few yards of vintage fabric. That bottom number is a rayon blend on a navy background (not black) and next on the dress making block.
On top of all this I have a Bride of Frankenstein in my house as I recreate her robe for Workshop 77.
I finished her today. :)
So you can see, it's been a busy few weeks.
I've got Playclothes repairs coming your way soon, and more dresses, not to mention Vintageville.
You guys won't miss out on anything.
I'll chat with you soon!
Thanks for the update Shelley! Love your button organization and what a great idea--putting buttons together in a frame! Wishing you the best!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely fabulous! Can't wait to see the Bride of Frankenstein and am jealous of your button collection!
ReplyDeleteHappy to read things are on the upswing, Shelley!
